About the Mavrovo ski centre

The Zare Lazarevski ski centre lies above Lake Mavrovo in Mavrovo National Park, about 100 km from Skopje via Tetovo and Gostivar. Its slopes run from 1,255 m to about 1,860 m, served by three chairlifts, Korja, Mavrovo 1 and Mavrovo 2, and a set of drag lifts.

Since 2018 snow guns cover about 2 km of the Korja run. Night skiing runs on Friday and Saturday evenings, and the Mirna Dolina cross-country trail is 7.5 km long.

The first chairlift opened in 1964, and the centre carries the name of its founder, Zare Lazarevski.
